The Energy Bus – 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work and Team with Positive Energy
| Author: Jon Gordon, 2007 |
What's it all About?
George wakes up Monday Morning to a bad day that starts with a flat tire and gets worse after that! As you can guess, he ends up taking a bus to work where he learns the 10 Rules. If you are in a situation where the negativity around you is just too much, this is a great read for you!
The unique driver shares the lessons over a two-week period, in a simple, classic fable. I loved the straightforward, yet powerful messages. There is not a lot of depth here, which I love because sometimes we just want a fun story that leaves us with a few key things to remember. I can see the tie into your home, social settings, work, and life in general. You own your happiness, and this great story tells it all.
And for my readers that dread that 12-hour book, this one is less than 3 hours on audio!
Eric Wood is a former NFL Pro Bowler who has a great discussion on positivity, Jon’s work with the Buffalo Bills and more! Listen here if you want to hear his great podcast with Jon:

“Remember, you have only one ride through life so give it all you got and enjoy the ride.”
There will always be doubters and even people who do not want to see you succeed. I truly believe this, like gravity bringing us down. Jon uses phrases like ‘you need to be the positive dog’ and ‘fight off the energy vampires’. Through practice and sticking with it, the more natural it becomes, like working out at the gym to build a muscle. Every day you need to work on the 10 rules and have routines or special items to remind you. This keeps your own values stronger than any other’s opinion. Dreams are meant for all of us, so keep the right people on your bus!!
